Resume

Yingliang Cheng is a professor in college of materials science and engineering, Hunan University in China. He got his BSc (1995) and MSc (2000) from Sichuan University in 1995, followed by a PhD (2003) from Zhejiang University. From 2008 to 2009, he conducted research as an Academic visitor at Corrosion and Protection Centre, the University of Manchester (UK). He has published more than 90 academic papers in journals such as Journal of the American Ceramic Society, Journal of the electrochemical Society, Electrochimica Acta, and Corrosion Science, and holds 7 invention patents. His research interests focus on the corrosion electrochemistry, plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) of both valve metals (Al, Mg, Ti, Zr, Ta) and non-valve metals (carbon steel, brass, copper), electrodeposition and Photoelectrochemical cathodic protection.
